Around the world there are calls for journalists to be more accountable for mistakes and misdeeds. In Britain, at least half a dozen inquiries or investigations are underway related to events at News of the World. In Australia, political leaders have called for a review of media regulation. In Canada, a report commissioned by Quebec’s culture minister recommends establishing professional accreditation for journalists.
Join moderator Jamie Cameron, professor at York University’s Osgoode Law School,  for a roundtable discussion on freedom of the press, public trust and calls for media regulation.
