Sportsnet's Multi-platform Plans for Beckham, FC, Galaxy Match at Rogers Centre

A dedicated streaming video feed will focus on soccer superstar David Beckham, even as his team plays for a spot in the Champions League Final against Toronto FC at the Rogers Centre in Toronto.
Sportsnet plans comprehensive coverage of the Toronto FC and LA Galaxy quarterfinals, part of the 2011-12 CONCACAF Champions League playoffs, as the two teams play the first leg on Wednesday, March 7.
The match itself will be available online, via mobile, as well as radio and TV.

A live video stream of the quarterfinal match will be available at the desktop, laptop or tablet via sportsnet.ca. The website will also feature a secondary stream with a camera isolated on the Galaxy’s star player.
As a preview to the match, Sportsnet has already aired clips from Stephen Brunt’s exclusive up-close-and-personal interview with Galaxy All-Star David Beckham, recorded last week in Tucson, Arizona.
Viewers can see unaired interview clips not included during Wednesday’s preview show during SOCCER CENTRAL on Saturday, Mar. 3 at 12 p.m. ET / 9 a.m. PT and Sportsnet Connected on Monday, Mar. 5 at 6 p.m. ET. Sportsnet 590 The FAN will run an extended version of the Beckham interview on The Jeff Blair Show on Monday, Mar. 3 at 9 a.m. ET. The full-length version of the interview will be available on sportsnet.ca on Wednesday, Mar. 7.
Host RJ Broadhead along with Dick Howard and Brunt will be at Rogers Centre for pre-match analysis, priming fans on the top players to watch including TFC’s Torsten Frings, Ryan Johnson and Jimmy Plata as well as the Galaxy’s Landon Donovan, Robbie Keane and Beckham. Gerry Dobson and Craig Forrest will call the match while Arash Madani reports from the sidelines.
After the match, sportsnet.ca will showcase The Aftershow, a live streamed wrap-up program with highlights, post-game analysis and interviews. In addition, John Molinaro will post a preview leading up to the match and provide a recap following the match.
Sportsnet 590 The FAN will also present the match online on sportsnet590.ca, with play-by-play by Dan Dunleavy and analysis from Bob Iarusci. Sportsnet 590 The FAN will have news and updates heading into the game including Brunt’s one-on-one with Beckham. Alex Seixeiro and Len Grammenopoulos will provide live reports during the match.
Toronto and LA will square off again in the second leg of the quarterfinals on Wednesday, March 14 at 10 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. PT on Sportsnet ONE from the Home Depot Centre in Carson, California. Sportsnet 590 The FAN will also broadcast the return match on both radio and sportsnet590.ca.
Following CONCACAF Champions League action, Sportsnet begins specialty channel coverage of regular-season MLS Toronto FC games; Sportsnet 590 The FAN is also home to 25 TFC regular-season MLS games on radio and online.
