Canadian Online Publishing Awards

Canadian Online Publishing Awards entries deadline is midnight tomorrow, Friday June 1.
Entries received before that time save 20% and will also be entered into a draw to win one of two passes to the Folio Show in New York City, one of the world's premier publishing events. Each pass is valued at $1,300.
Other benefits and upgrades to the COPAs (produced by Masthead) this year include:
• New Data Visualization category
• New 2012 COPA Yearbook: In addition to the online gallery with links and credits for all winners, all COPA winners, finalists and sponsors will be included in this new beautifully produced book, which will become the who’s who of digital publishing in Canada.
• New venue: For 2012 the COPAs are moving to a larger venue with the same great vibe (and 48-foot-long bar). Save the date: Oct. 22 at downtown hotspot The Hoxton, 69 Bathurst St. at King St. West.

As always, the COPAs honour the very best in editorial-based online and digital publishing, divided into three divisions:
• Green Division: Digital journalism from newspapers and broadcasters
• Red Division: Digital journalism from consumer, custom, religious, and public association publishers
• Blue Division: Digital journalism from business-to-business, professional association, farm, and scholarly publishers
The 15 categories in each division cover design, writing, and packaging, in different digital formats including websites, tablet editions, digital replicas and apps.
The COPAs cover work published between June 1, 2011 and June 22, 2012. The final entry deadline is June 22, 2012.
