Toronto Mobile Startups

Saturday, November 17, 2012 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM  Toronto, ON
at karma Laboratory   1456 Bloor St W  Toronto, ON M6P 4A9
This Arduino workshop is for absolute beginners! Attendance is capped at 6 people so you'll be guarenteed lots of individual instructor attention.
We'll be using these Arduino prototyping boards from Sparkfun:https://www.sparkfun.com/products/10889. Along with these other things called "breadboards", "jumper wires", and "header pins". (Remember that materials are worked into the registration fee so you get to keep everything after the workshop!)

In this 4 hour course, we'll write lots of Arduino code to make the supplied electronics components buzz, light up, and react to human input. We'll look into how they work together and, at the end fo the workshop, we'll snap apart the components and wire up the peices on a breadboard. (Time permitting, we may even solder!)
Note that I assume absolute beginner-level knowledge and that includes no previous programming experience and no electronics experience.
(If you are already a programmer, you might be interested more in my Intro to Arduino for Programmers workshop. Please let me know you would like me to host one! I only need 6 attendees to make a workshop happen.)
If you have any questions, feel free to reach  pearl@karma-laboratory.com
