Islamic Relief Canada is organizing a

campaign to raise funds

to support the Ministry of Health in Tunisia to help it cope with the COVID-19 pandemic. The campaign is launched in collaboration with several associations and non-profit organizations from the Tunisian community in Canada ( Associations of Tunisians in the Americas (ATA), Errissala Association, Tunisian Jasmin Festival in Montreal, Union des Tunisiens du Canada (UTC), The Tunisian Canadian Association for Development (TUNCAD), Tunisian Community Association in Toronto, Radio Maghreb Montreal, Le Journal Tunisien).
The money raised will be transferred to Islamic Relief office in Tunisia and will be used to purchase medical equipment according to the priorities and needs of the Ministry of Health. Donors in Canada will receive a tax receipt. This comes as Tunisia witnesses a spread of the virus amid blatant lack of resources available to medical personnel.
