The Canadian Arabic Orchestra holds its fourth annual Multicultural Folk Celebration at the Lakeside Park in Mississauga on Saturday the 7th of August 2021 from 3pm to 8pm.

With Lake Ontario as a beautiful backdrop for this celebration of our city’s and Canada’s diversity, the event starts with a smudge ceremony by the CAO’s associate Indigenous artist Rosary Spence to bless the day’s events in a warm welcome to the lands and territories of the Mississauga’s of the Credit First Nations.

As the dayprogresses, we will see community and folklore groups showcasing their heritage on one stage in a beautiful display of music, song and dance from Palestine, Turkey, Greece, Denmark, Afghanistan, Mexico, Iran, Macedonia, the Balkans, Scotland, Korea, Spain, China and Sweden.

Covid Protocols are in place as Mississauga welcomes visitors from all over the GTA to this annual milestone in our city’s arts and culture scene; this event is open to the public
